Join us for September After Hours on Tuesday, September 23 from 4–7 p.m. at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art. At 5 p.m. in the auditorium, local historian and speaker Harrison Hartley will present St. Joseph and the Landmark Year, a fascinating look at 1927—a year of major civic and cultural accomplishments that shaped the city’s identity. Hartley will highlight projects such as Civic Center Park, City Hall, and the Missouri Theater, as well as the contributions of visionaries like Waylande Gregory, the Boller Brothers, and the Dubinsky/Durwood family. His talk, accompanied by historic and contemporary photographs, will explore how these landmarks continue to influence the community today. Dinner will be available for purchase, a cash bar will be open, and admission is free!
