46th Annual Pot of Gold Arts Gala & Auction
With the help of volunteers, sponsors, and donors, the annual Pot of Gold auction is a signature event for the museum. Since its inception in 1978, the Pot of Gold auction supports the museum’s operating budget, education initiatives, and special programs.
This year, we can’t wait to have you back in the museum to celebrate being together again. Now in its 46th year, we are celebrating with an “Out of This World, Intergalactic Gala”. Guests are encouraged to dress in elegant space-themed attire. Come as a classy representative from Earth or as your favorite sci-fi character. The stars will align, whether you’re “out there” or “down-to-earth”. There will be live, silent, and online auctions, dinner, dancing and much more!

DONATE TO THE AUCTION
Items donated are sorted into live, silent and online auctions, with larger-valued items being sold during the live auction. Silent auction items can be bid on throughout the evening. The online auction will feature fine art and antiques. Your items will be displayed at the event, and details of the donation will be spotlighted by our auctioneer prior to sale. All donated items are tax deductible up to the value of the item and will have a written description in the 2024 Auction Item Catalogue along with an estimated retail value.
We can pick up your donated items at a time that is convenient for you, or you may drop them off during regular museum hours. To request an item pick-up, please call Jackie Butler, 2024 Pot of Gold Chairperson, at (816) 387-3149.
