Membership Exhibition

Now is the time to get to work, as members of the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art are invited to participate in our annual Membership Exhibition. Each member is welcome to submit up to two works of art.

The opening reception will take place on Friday, January 17 from 4-7 and the exhibition will run through February 23.

OFFICIAL RULES

The Membership Exhibition is open to current members of the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art

  • New Members may join at any time prior to the artwork drop-off period.

  • Sign up to become a member here.

  • Each individual membership may submit 2 artworks.

  • Family/Dual memberships may submit up to 2 artworks individually, but may not enter more than 3 artworks total as a group.

Artworks must have been created in the last 5 years

Artworks cannot have been previously exhibited at the AKMA

Use of copyright or trademark materials must conform to fair use standards

Artworks must have ID labels (click button below for printable labels)

  • Back side of 2-D artworks.

  • Accompanying 3-D artworks upon delivery.

Two Dimensional Art

  • Must be suitably presented and ready to hang with wires firmly attached.

  • No sawtooth hangers, slot hangers or glass and clips.

  • Works on paper must be matted and framed behind glass or plexiglass. (Please indicate if plexiglass. No non-glare glass.)

  • White, off white, or cream mats are the professional standard.

  • Painted canvases must be stretched; frames preferred.

  • We will not accept warped canvases/frames.

Three Dimensional Art

  • Must sit level and be properly based.

  • No work can be suspended from the ceiling.

Maximum size: 4’x4’, including frame

Maximum weight: 50 pounds

Works involving multiple pieces must be joined together as one unit and must not exceed size or weight limitations of a single piece.

Works that do not follow these stipulations will NOT be exhibited.

10 CATEGORIES

Artworks entered by an individual do not have to be in the same categories. AKMA staff reserve the right to place artwork in the appropriate categories.

ENTRY FORM

The AKMA reserves the right to reassign categories and to reject entries that do not follow official rules or that exceed museum staff capabilities. By submitting this form, I acknowledge that I have read & understand the rules of the AKMA Annual Membership Exhibition and so indicate by clicking submit.
