Colored Pencil Workshop with Wanda Taylor
Wednesday, July 1 | 10:00 AM–4:00 PM

Wanda offers step-by-step instruction that covers composition, layering, blending, complementary color, texture, and developing your personal style. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this class is a wonderful opportunity to build your skills and enjoy a relaxed, creative environment.

Wanda Taylor Colored Pencil Class Supply List

• Paper: Colored pencil sketchbooks are great for beginners, but you will be happier with a heavy drawing paper like Stathmore 400 or smooth watercolor/mixed media paper. If you want to invest in a high-end paper get Clairefontaine Pastelmat. It comes in a variety of colors and can hold many layers of colored pencil. We are discovering that we like Canson Velvet as well.

• Artist Grade Colored Pencils: Wanda’s favorites are Caran d'Ache Luminance, Faber-Castell Polychromos, Derwent Lightfast, Lyra Rembrandt, and Holbein. She uses them all! If you have not purchased a set before class you can ask Wanda about what you would like to get before investing in colored pencils and use hers during your first class.

• Eraser: white plastic or kneaded

• Pencil sharpener.

• A good reference picture printed to the same size you will be working in.
