Colored Pencil Workshop with Wanda Taylor
Wednesday, November 19 | 10:00 AM–4:00 PM

Join artist Wanda Taylor for an engaging full-day Colored Pencil Workshop designed to deepen your understanding of color, light, and reflection. In this session, Wanda will guide students through the unique challenge of drawing white objects without using a white colored pencil until the very end. This technique encourages artists to observe and capture the subtle hues and tones that appear in white subjects as they reflect surrounding colors. Students will apply this exercise to a subject of their choosing, developing stronger skills in color perception and layering. Whether you’re new to colored pencils or looking to refine your technique, this workshop offers valuable insights for artists at any level.

Wanda Taylor Colored Pencil Class Supply List

• Colored pencil sketchbooks are great for beginners, but you will be happier with a heavy drawing paper like Stathmore 400 or smooth watercolor/mixed media paper.

• Artist Grade Colored Pencils: Wanda’s favorites are Lyra Rembrandt, Faber-Castell, or Prismacolor Premier.

• Eraser: white plastic or kneaded

• Pencil sharpener.
