Sculpt Your Own Santa with Barb Hurst

Create a one-of-a-kind miniature Santa in this hands-on sculpting workshop with artist Barb Hurst of Zella Mae Originals. Barb has been sculpting miniature Santas since 1995 and has created more than 700 original pieces that are now part of collections across the country.

During this full-day workshop, students will sculpt Santa’s face from clay, incorporating glass eyes and real fur to give their creation a wonderfully realistic look. From there, you’ll design and create Santa’s outfit, adding your own personality and theme to make him completely unique.

Want to create a sports-loving Santa, a game-night Santa, or something inspired by a favorite hobby or tradition? Let your imagination run wild! Barb has an abundance of miniature supplies and may have to-scale props available for purchase to complement your theme. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own small accessories or props if they already have an idea in mind.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have your own handcrafted Santa filled with personality and ready to become part of your holiday traditions!
